About Us

Hello there! We're & Pixie, and we've got quite a story to share. Before we became our own brand, we were actually the creative minds behind many of those paint by numbers kits you might've spotted about. That's right, we spent years designing patterns and mixing paints for some of the biggest names in the business – proper learning from the ground up!

Then came lockdown (we all remember that, don't we?), and like everyone else, we were looking for ways to stay creative and keep our spirits up. With our resident feline CEO Pixie keeping us company, we started dreaming bigger. We thought, "Hang on, with all this experience under our belts, why not create something that's truly ours?"

And speaking of our inspiration – most of our designs come from our travels round the world! There's nothing quite like exploring new places to spark creativity, and we love turning our favourite moments into art that everyone can enjoy.

 

Whilst people were chuffed with our designs, we weren't keen on our work being associated with dodgy providers (cheap kits, poor delivery, shoddy quality control), which is why...in late 2024, we took the plunge and launched & Pixie. But here's what sets us apart – we're proper perfectionists about our kits (in the best way possible!). Whilst most companies just run their designs through some automated software and call it a day, we do things the traditional way. Every single design starts as original artwork, and we manually craft each 24, 36, and 48 colour version ourselves. And here's the thing – we actually paint every design before we list it. If it's not enjoyable to paint or doesn't look brilliant, it doesn't make the cut!

Oh, and about that name? Well, let's just say when you've got a cat who thinks every workspace is her personal catwalk, things can get... interesting! The '&' in & Pixie came from our chaotic little muse's tendency to add her own artistic touch to everything – usually by walking across keyboards, batting at paintbrushes, or deciding that yes, this perfectly arranged kit definitely needs some reorganising. These days, Pixie's still very much part of the team, though she's more interested in supervising from her sunny spot by the window than getting her paws mucky. We can't blame her – she's earned that promotion to full-time diva!

Everything you need comes right in the box: top-quality canvas, perfectly mixed paints (trust us, we've mixed A LOT of paint over the years), proper brushes, and crystal clear instructions. We're also partnering with some brilliant artists to bring you even more fantastic designs – because who doesn't love variety?
